gDat and YardaSoft provides data management services for mineral exploration and mining companies, with a focus on the Orebase data management system. Orebase is a cloud-based SQL hosted relational database management system designed for exploration and mining data including robust backup procedures. Data integrity is ensured and maintained with multiple layers of validation, triggers and rules.

The Orebase data management solution includes the implementation of the database management system Orebase and continuous data management services. The implementation consists of workflows optimisation and migration of existing data to Orebase. The Orebase implementation and continuous data management services define, maintain and manage the company data capture, storage, extraction, QAQC, reporting and validation workflows for all types of exploration and mining works. The procedures and workflows are scrutinised in detail, decided upon and standardised to ensure data quality and fully functional, sustainable and time effective data solutions.

The data is provided to Orebase for data import and Orebase manage and maintain the data and the database. The data is accessed via secure VPN and ODBC connections. QAQC reports are provided after each assay job has been imported to the database to spot and stop potential QAQC problems in a timely manner. QAQC reports based on time periods are provided according to the requirements of each client. On-going support and consultancy dialogue is maintained to ensure the data and the data solutions are optimised and operative. The service model provides a sustainable solution where inhouse database expertise or supporting IT infrastructure is not required.

The Orebase data management solution includes the user-friendly logging software Logger which enables seamless, secure and valid data collection.
